01Start with the reader
We review your synopsis, audience, competing titles, and visual references to define the book’s positioning. A literary novel and a practical business guide make different visual promises. The brief sets a direction without copying an existing cover.
02Develop a coherent concept
Concepts explore composition, imagery, and typography together. You give consolidated feedback at agreed review points, and the selected direction is refined. Custom illustration, photography, stock licensing, and additional concepts are scoped separately when needed.
03Build the complete cover
A print cover needs more than a front image. Spine width depends on final page count and paper stock; back-cover copy, barcode placement, and bleed need coordination. Digital covers are checked at small sizes, where clarity matters just as much as detail.
